I believe we all have inner strengths and untapped potential that can help us live our best lives. My passion lies in guiding people towards discovering these strengths and resources, and helping them find new ways of coping when they feel stuck.
I approach therapy with a strengths-based focus using hope, compassion, and a bit of humor. I recognize that every individual, couple, and family is different, and I want to understand each client’s unique needs. I believe forming a relationship of trust and comfort is essential to our understanding of each other, and our work together.
I am certified in Biofeedback therapy and use these skills of regulation and increased awareness in my everyday work. Together, we can explore the quest for balance in life. I use mindfulness, cognitive behavioral, narrative and solution focused therapy techniques.
I am trained in Prepare/Enrich and enjoy working with couples at all stages of relationships. I have donated my time in these ways to couples and families at my church. I have also worked with individuals in the health care setting for over two decades, during which time I have gained extensive familiarity with medical systems.
My clinical interests include individuals and couples, chronic illness, intimacy concerns, depression and anxiety, as well as grief and loss.
In my free time, I enjoy volunteering, cooking for people, and spending time with family and friends.
