I believe we all have inner strengths and untapped potential that can help us live our best lives. My passion lies in guiding people toward discovering these strengths and resources, and helping them find new ways of coping when they feel stuck.
I approach therapy with a strengths-based focus using hope, compassion, and a bit of humor. I recognize that every individual, couple, and family is different, and I want to understand each client’s unique needs. I believe forming a relationship of trust and comfort is essential to our understanding of each other, and our work together.
I spent 20 years as a certified Biofeedback therapist and use these skills of regulation and increased awareness in my everyday work. Together, we can explore the quest for balance in life. I use mindfulness, cognitive behavioral, narrative and solution focused therapy techniques.
I am trained in Prepare/Enrich, Discernment counseling, Relational Life Therapy and enjoy working with couples at all stages of relationships. I have also worked with individuals in the health care setting for over two decades, during which time I have gained extensive familiarity with medical systems. I am also trained in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR).
My clinical interests include individuals and couples experiencing: relationship challenges, trauma, chronic illness, intimacy concerns, depression and anxiety, as well as grief and loss.
In my free time, I enjoy volunteering, cooking for people, and spending time with family and friends.
